Forklift Training &
Safety Training

Whether your team needs Forklift training or Respiratory Fit Testing, QFAS offers safety training that meets your needs!

Safety Training

The benefits of a great workplace training program are many.  Training can help you increase productivity; reduce risk-related costs associated with workplace accidents and incidents; and change culture.  It’s a legal requirement, so you’ll be in compliance.  It also saves lives. Quality First Aid & Safety offers quality, up-to-date safety training that’s customized for your needs. Training is delivered by a team of first aid and safety trainers who are:

  • Knowledgeable, experienced, and professional – Materials are presented in an active and engaging manner that enhances learning, retention, and behavior change.
  • Up-to-date – Your workforce will receive current information about the safety topics you need most.
  • Passionate about their subject matter – Trainers take the time to make sure your team members learn and become competent in the subject matter. No one will be left behind!
  • Respectful of your time – Classes are concise, specific to your needs, and scheduled at times that work for you.  Many classes have 2-year certifications, so team members will be off the job less frequently for training.

QFAS’ safety training programs satisfy OSHA, MIOSHA, and other regulatory agencies’ requirements for training and will help you meet compliance and documentation requirements.

QFAS offers a variety of safety training courses, including:

Forklift/Scissorlift

Forklift or Scissorlift Training – 2 to 3 Hours

3 Year Certification
Forklift accidents can cost your company thousands of dollars in damaged products, wrecked equipment, and injured workers. OSHA requires training and evaluation of all operators on the safe and proper use of forklifts. This program blends classroom and hands-on training, incorporating discussions, videos, instructor demonstrations, a written test and driving evaluation.

GHS

Hazard Communication (GHS) – 1½ to 2 Hours

Ongoing Training
OSHA has aligned its required Hazard Communication Standard with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) to create a universally understandable method for communicating hazard warnings. This training program helps you get up to speed on GHS and OSHA’s requirements, and covers SDS (Safety Data Sheets), components, detailed explanations of the nine pictograms required for use, as well as the new label formats.

Respiratory Fit Test

Respiratory Protection Training with Fit Testing – 1½ to 2 Hours

Annual Training
OSHA’s respiratory protection standard (29 CFR 1910.1340 ) requires each person wearing a respirator to complete training before wearing the respirator and then annually thereafter. When implemented correctly, a respirator fit testing service program can help ensure that the highest respiratory protection levels are achieved through a properly sized and donned respirator.
Pre-requisite: Medical clearances/clean shaven

Lockout/Tagout

Lockout/Tagout – 1 to 1½ Hours

OSHA’s lockout/tagout standard covers the servicing and maintenance of machines and equipment in which the unexpected energization or startup of the machines or equipment or release of stored energy could cause injury to employees. This course addresses practices and procedures that are necessary to disable machinery or equipment and to prevent the release of potentially hazardous energy while maintenance and servicing activities are being performed.

Fire Extinguisher

Fire Extinguisher Training

Annual Training

Fire prevention is always the best safety policy to follow but prevention is not always possible. This program teaches your employees how to calmly and effectively deal with fires and correctly use a fire extinguisher. Training will consist of hands-on fire extinguisher skills practice.
